2. 4 Documents need to be submitted in your application packet in order to be considered for this position:
a. Your Resumé
b. Siuslaw Valley Fire & Rescue Application [the application needs to be completed and submitted with your packet. DO NOT write ‘see resumé’ as a response on the application].
c. Your responses to the Supplemental Questions
d. Application Packet checklist. This needs to be submitted. In this checklist, you are indicating that you either meet the minimum qualifications or have equivalencies.
Do NOT include copies of certifications or letters of recommendation at this time. This information will be needed at a later time if you are continuing in the selection process.
Incomplete application packets will not be considered.

Are you interested in joining Siuslaw Valley Fire and Rescue as a Volunteer?
It will be the most fun you have ever had helping your neighbors!
If you are interested in serving your local community as a volunteer firefighter, you will be joining a proud tradition that dates back to the very beginning of our nation, with George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin among the many founding fathers who were also involved in the volunteer fire service.
Today volunteers comprise a majority of our nation’s fire service. Half of all Americans in live in communities served by fire departments that are either all volunteer or a combination of volunteer and career(full- time and paid).
Prospective volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and have the ability to pass a physical agility test and be medically fit for firefighting duties. Prospective volunteers must also pass a criminal background and drivers license check.
