This Saturday the 23rd, the FEC will have an “Oregon Coast Be Ready” Expo. If you’ve never been to one, now is the time to go. Great refresher too!
We are increasingly seeing people suffering due to what’s happening throughout the country as natural disasters are showing no mercy. We know, living on the
coast, there is going to eventually be a Cascadian Subduction Zone earthquake. What you have on hand maybe the only
resources available for a long period of time. This is a small community and we won’t be able to mobilize first responders like
the big cities. Our bridges may be out, landslides taking out the few roads we have and by then, it will be too late to find out what you
need to know. Those who know, will have a better chance at survival than those who aren’t.
Additionally, we are still susceptible to storms, fires and tsunamis. Disasters happen and being prepared versus not being prepared could mean the difference
detween life and death.
The Expo is ready for you from 10AM to 3PM at the Florence Events Center. Free Admission and learning experiences. The Kiwanis will have a free hot dog
lunch.
