This Drive was originally scheduled for Fred Meyers, but due to the Red Cross needing larger facilities and not using their buses at this time, we offered to help them out.
In Oregon, more than 386 blood drives have been canceled as of 3/26/2020, resulting in more than 10,277 fewer blood donations.
This is an Essential and vital service.
There are added safety precautions at their Drives. Please see the attached documents.
COVID 19 Blood Donation Drive Fact Sheet
Got this social media post from Gov. Brown as she’s recommending and encouraging Oregonian’s to donate.
It's still safe, and allowed, under my #StayHomeSaveLives executive order to donate blood — in fact, I encourage it. Sign up to donate with @RedCrossCasc today: https://t.co/YWTibjAObe
